I am Tommy Davis, the Coroner of Newton County. I thank you for the trust and confidence you have placed in me throughout my years of service. I have served our community, with the Coroner’s Office, for 17 years. I began my service as a deputy coroner from 2003 to 2008, and then as your elected coroner from 2008 to present.
I have received countless hours of training both in the classroom and on the job. I have investigated thousands of deaths of all manners. I have worked with law enforcement agencies and our court systems to ensure that our findings are accurate and our investigation thorough.
I serve on the Newton County Child Fatality Review Panel. I also serve as the Coroner representative for the Metro Atlanta Mass Fatality Planning Board. Over the years I have cultivated relationships with local, state, and federal agencies and I have the trust and confidence of fellow coroners and law enforcement agencies from around the state. I spend many hours annually speaking to students, civic groups, and others about the tragedies we are seeing related to prescription drug abuse, distracted driving, seat belt safety, the importance of proper sleep environments for infants, and other trends we are seeing that can and should be avoided.
Every election is vitally important to our future. I have served our community with honor and I ask you to allow me to continue to represent you for the next 4 years. I am seeking re-election and I am asking for your vote.
